Before skateboarding there was surfing. There was not any “Skateboarders” just surfers who road skateboards. Here at Surf City we were selling skateboards before we even had a shop. Mark was a traveling salesman and saw the need in small towns on the east coast to sell skateboard parts to hardware stores and sporting good stores. This is just before the whole skateboard thing was just about to blow up (before Dogtown, before Surf City).

Skateboarding is still here and bigger than ever. Skateboarding is still here at Surf City and is going to be bigger than ever. Trends come and go, but Surf City and Skateboarding are here for the long haul. Keep on Pushing.
